Professional truck wheel spanner

The STT-58C gear spanner is an indispensable accessory for trucks, agricultural and construction machinery. The perfect remedy for heavily tightened and seized wheel bolts / nuts, which previously involved stationary air spanners or bulky extensions to loosen.

Long type

The STT-58C planetary spanner is a modified version of the STT-58. The body of the Long Type version of the spanner has been lengthened to 34 cm (31 cm not including the crank handle) and is therefore more suitable for the more recessed rims of twin wheels. The transmission ratio has also been increased to 1:64 and the body of the spanner has been specially shaped to provide a more comfortable grip when unscrewing/tightening wheel mounts.

Gear mechanism 1:64

The design of the spanner is based on a planetary mechanical transmission with a ratio of 1:64, i.e. 1 crank revolution for every 64 crank revolutions. This ratio generates a torque of 6,000 Nm. This makes it easy to obtain an output force that enables the dismantling of truck and OTR wheels, away from the workshop and under any conditions without any power supply.

Ratio 1:1

Included with the planetary spanner is an extension which, together with the crank, acts as a separate, normal spanner with a ratio of 1:1. This serves to quickly loosen the bolt/nut after it has been initially loosened with the planetary spanner. Likewise when tightening - this allows the fastener to be screwed in quickly and then tightened with the planetary spanner.

Cr-V sockets

With the STT-58C gear spanner, 2 sockets are supplied in sizes: 32 and 33 mm. They are made of Cr-V chrome vanadium steel. This provides them with above-average durability and strength. Sockets in other sizes (for 1" square shank) can also be used with the spanner.

Compact size

The spanner and accessories are housed in a robust plastic case measuring 39 x 21 x 9.5 cm. The weight of the case with spanner and accessories is 7.7 kg. The spanner alone (without crank and socket) weighs 4.9 kg.
